Follow your own passion

My parents forced me to join dentistry faculty because they just wanted me to as they find it suitable for females, they didn’t care what I even want to be or what I’m interested in. After I finished my studying years I started to work in hospitals, but I never enjoyed what I’m doing.
I felt like I lost so many years of my life trying to love doing something I don’t even find my self in it. I took the decision to quit. I faced my parents and I told them I entered the college you want, but it is time to take my own decisions and start doing something I love.
At that point I felt lost but at least I started my own journey. I joined the first recruitment company in Egypt first as a receptionist, but I proved my self and I started to get promoted until I became head of recruiters, I felt like finally I’m doing something I’m passionate about. Another chance knocked my career door when I got selected to work at OUDA (Operational Unit for Development Assistance) one of the UNDP (United Nations for Development Programs) arms. So I joined the OUDA for many many years I started as a senior recruiter and then promoted to be OUDA Director, I became so successful and known in my job. Years later, I worked as Training and Development consultant to the Minster of Social Solidarity, Ghada Wali.
After achieving a lot in my life, I recognized that it is my role to work as a career advisor to guide the coming generations in their future and to help them make their own decisions regarding their future.
As a matter of advice, don’t settle for anything, do what you’re passionate about.
