By: Nouran Ayman “I was refused because I am a woman, I received an email stating sorry although you are very qualified but this is a man job you can’t do it ” I always dreamed of being a director of photography, but I had so many struggles from Egyptian society and traditions, the idea of me working in a job that is dominated by men was so hard. people co uldn’t accept the idea that I could handle it and I wouldn’t be respected in the locations or by people who works with me I faced too many situations even my parents when they saw that I am taking this seriously and I want it as my job they weren’t accepting that I will work in a man job where I have shoots at late night and I work with a lot of men. but what did I do next?
